TISPA
Mwanza Internet Exchange - Mwanza IXP - MIXP

The Mwanza IXP was created in cooperation between TCRA and TISPA. It is operated by TISPA in order to provide a neutral peering point for IP networks in Mwanza, Tanzania. This does allow for local routing of Internet traffic in Mwanza, between network operators, via peering connections.

These will reduce the average per-bit delivery cost for Internet traffic and more importantly reduce latencies, increase available bandwidth and improve quality of service since traffic is routed locally.

Peering at MIXP started in June 2016, after obtaining numbering resources from AfriNIC at the end of May 2016.
